Drumtellers formed from an ongoing group of
Diana's Drum students in the Owen Sound and
Tobermory areas. Receiving a request to participate in a fundraiser
for the local Bruce Peninsula Grandparent Connection, part
of the Stephen
Lewis Foundation Grandmothers to Grandmothers initiative,
the group enthusiastically joined forces with Ron Baker, well-known
professional storyteller of Dyers Bay Story Barn. The second
half of the program was presented by local Cape Croker Women
Drummers and First Nation storyteller Lenore Keeshig-Tobias.
The performance, with a theme of Unity in Diversity, played
to an appreciative standing-room only audience.
