Drum-making and Therapeutic Drumming Workshop, Toronto, ON
DRUM MAKING - 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. * THERAPEUTIC DRUMMING - 1:30 - 4:30 p.m.
WHERE: United Steelworkers Hall, 25 Cecil Street (1. 5 Blocks E. of Spadina, 1 Block. S. of College), Toronto, Ontario (FREE PARKING IN BACK)
WHO: Drum-making - for anyone who wants to build their own collection of inexpensive, nesting drums that look and sound great, that stack neatly inside each other and travel well. Build a sturdy, colourful mallet as well.
Therapeutic Drumming - for people who want to explore the therapeutic benefits of drumming with others. Ideal for drum circle facilitators, recreational and music therapists, teachers of children with special needs and at-risk youth; people who live and work with seniors, from the well-elderly to those with Alzheimer's, aphasia, etc. and anyone in healing work.
COST: Drum-making -$100 (+GST) - includes one drum and mallet; printed drum-making instructions. Therapeutic Drumming - $70 (+GST) - includes 1 manual per person.
Full Day (both workshops, inc. all materials, etc.): $150 (+GST)
