To Whom It May Concern:

Zoë Kessler came to my grade eleven-twelve music class to demonstrate and give a workshop on African drumming techniques. She brought in djembes and other percussion instruments that complement the playing of the djembe.

Although time was short, she introduced us to some traditional rhythms and then progressed to some more innovative styles.

Zoë kept the entire class focussed for the entire session.

Speaking to the students afterwards, many of them stated how much they enjoyed the workshop, and one student has decided to continue to study with Zoë.

I would highly recommend to any educator Zoë Kessler's services as a tool for continued insight into world music.
